Tarmac Jetty Purfleet – Fender removal
June 2025
GPS MACS were instructed by Tarmac to replace ladders on their jetty in Purfleet and remove a damaged timber fender from the upstream dolphin of the jetty. For this scope of works the GPS Boxer crane barge was mobilised at an off-site facility in Upnor. The crane barge was be towed to site and moored on the upstream end of the jetty.

Wapping boat yard cladding replacement

GPS MACS conducted an inspection of the cladding system at 78 - 80 Wapping High St, which is the Thames River Police Boatyard. The cladding panels were installed prior to 1973 when the boatyard was opened, and overall, the installation was found to be run down and aged. However, it has lasted for longer than the forecast lifecycle of materials used for these applications, within these climatic conditions.
