Cory Riverside Energy Park
Overview
- Client: Cory Environmental Holding Ltd
- Project Value: 1.1m
- Dates: Oct - Dec 25
GPS MACS have completed works on behalf of Cory Environmental Holding Ltd. at the old Borax Jetty alongside Cory Riverside Energy Park. As part of the works GPS MACS mobilised the GPS Boxer crane barge with a 100t crane and 40t long reach excavator on board.
The old river wall was demolished and fill material behind the river wall and underneath the adjacent concrete deck slab was removed and transferred off site by barge for disposal.
Type 6A granular fill was then imported by barge and a 500mm thick layer placed and graded to the required revetment slope. Finally, bespoke fabric grout mattresses by Proserve, designed to tie into the surrounding structures and around the piles supporting the concrete slab, were placed on the revetment and filled with grout to form the new scour protection for the revetment and adjacent river wall.
A successful project for a key client on the River Thames delivered safely and ahead of schedule.
